I attended Beaumont schools K-12 and spent my freshman year of college at Cal State Fullerton. I was so excited to live in a dorm and move away! I quickly realized I missed home so I finished the last three years of my BA at Cal State San Bernardino. After marrying my high school sweetheart, Mr. Dorrough, I attended the University of Redlands to obtain my teaching credential. A few years later I received my Master's degree from National University. My dad was a principal and my mom was a teacher so I always knew that becoming an educator was my destiny! I can't imagine having a career where I couldn't hang out with seven year olds all day, I have the BEST job in the world! I also have three kids of my own that are currently in college or already graduated! My youngest, Jada, attends the University of Redlands. She is a chemistry major. My son, Tanner, goes to college at the University of California Santa Barbara. He is studying Environmental Science and gets to live right on the beach! My oldest son graduated from the University of Redlands in 2016 with a BA in English and another BA in Public Policy. He lives all the way in Washington D.C. now and works as a Press Secretary on Capitol Hill!
